Well, we survived our first real doctor's visit. Cambree was just as happy as she could be. She weights 9 lbs. 1 oz. she is 22 1/2 inches long. She is in the 95 percentile for length and 55th for weight. She is just perfect. We are still working on nursing long enough to stay full for 3 hours, but is improving. She had her 2nd Hep B shot, and she really didn't like it. Who does! All is well for now.
Kiley is getting bigger by the minute. She is always happy, singing, and laughing. She loves her little sister, and gives her tons of kisses and hugs. She helped me decorate the Christmas tree last night, and she did a good job putting all the ornaments on the same 5 branches. We are all looking forward the Holidays. We are excited about going to Colorado for Christmas, and seeing all Brett's family. My big sister and her family will be coming for New Years, and then the biggest surprise is my little sister coming the middle of January. I can't wait to kiss and hug her new little one Bailey. That's all for now I will try to post some pictures in the next few days. Take care!
Well, for those of you who do not know, Brett's last day with Coinstar will be December 19th! He will be embarking on a new adventure in his life. He will be going into full-time ministry at our church as the Youth Director. He has been enrolled at Louisiana Baptist University to get a Bible Degree for several months, now. He will be licensed to preach by our church on December 14th. They will be having a special service in his honor to do this. He will start working at the church on January 5th. YEAH, we are all very excited about this giant step of faith, please pray for our family as we go through the changes this will bring.
The girls both enjoyed Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful day, and ate lots. We hope you all had a good Thanksgiving as well. I have a special request: The doctor that delivered both Kiley and Cambree is a family friend, my heart goes out to them right now their little girl, June, is VERY sick. Please pray for June and her family. Especially pray for Dr. Robbins she is working all day and staying at the hospital all night. We love you all!
Well, we are all settling into our New Life nicely. Cambree is doing pretty good. She is still having trouble during the day with nursing long enough to sustain herself, but she is eating and sleeping well at night. Right now she is waking every 4 hours or so to eat at night. Kiley is doing pretty good with Cambree as well. We are facing 1 battle at a time. At first it was the pacifier and right now its her keeping her hands off Cambree's face and leaving her alone to sleep. I know all things will settle down in time. We are getting really excited about our trip to Colorado. Kiley talks about it everyday. Cambree had a 5 day check-up and she already weighted 7 lb. 12 oz. They said she was just perfect. She will go back to the Dr. on the 9th of December, and we will see how big she has gotton. In all she is a very good baby and Kiley is a GOOD big sister. Enjoy a few pictures since you here!!!
Cambree made her GRAND appearance on November 6th at 1:20pm. I was induced at 8am, my water broke at 9am, and the rest is history. I was only in labor for 5 hours, which is way better than Kiley's 20 hour delivery. She is a beautiful little baby, and she has a very excited Big Sister. Kiley loves on her ALOT. We are going through a bit of an adjustment period. Brett and I are learning how to handle 2 kids, and Kiley is learning how to share the attention. I will post more pictures when I take some! Thanks for all the prayers.
This week's update will be very disappointing, if you were expecting any change because there is not any. I am the same as last week. In a way I am really disappointed, but on the other hand I guess she's just not ready to be here. My due date is not really until Sunday so she must just need a little more time. I am more than ready my back hurts, and I am having constant cramps which will probably get worse until Cambree's glorious arrival. My plan, because I have to have one you know, is to go to my next week appointment on the 5th, and if still no baby I will schedule to be induced on whatever day the Doctor has available. My cervix is a tough one, good thing this is my last baby. Please pray for me because this plan is not iron clad, I'm still praying about it and I just want to have a peace that doing this is right for me, baby and family. Take care and I hope my next post is more exciting!
Well, yesterday's appointment revealed that I am officially a walking time bomb. The doctor said I could go into labor any day now. I am dilated to a 2 and still 80% effaced. She said she really didn't expect to see me in the office for my next week appointment, but that we would make one just in case. I really hope she is right. I have had a horrid back ache since yesterday, and I'm really ready for this to all be over. I think I have enjoyed just about enough. On top of everything I have lost my cell phone. So I am a walking time bomb without a phone to call Brett when I do go into labor. I just hope I'm near a phone when it happens!
Kiley has started a little regression in her behavior. Although yesterday was a pretty good day. I'm ready for Cambree to get here so that we can get through this rough patch and move on. Kiley is very excited, but I think she is still anxious to see how everything will be after Cambree gets here. She asked me yesterday to please get baby Cambree out here. I thought that was really cute.
Hey I just wanted to get the word out that my friend that was due the day after me had her baby by C-Section Thursday. It's a long story of why, but that is beside the point. The baby is in NICU with Pnemonia and from what I understand Amy has not been able to even hold her little boy. His name is Nathan so, PLEASE say a little pray for the Garinger family today.
Also I have a friend that we sing with her name is Sandra and she just found out she has breast cancer. Please pray for her as well. This all weights heavy on my heart and it would mean alot if I knew there were others praying too! Thanks
I was told last post that I was sharing to much information. Well, here is your warning turn back now if you don't want to know the gory details.
I went to the doctor today, and I am 1+ dilated, 80% effaced, and -1 pelvic station (that means baby's head is low) So, I have dropped even though it doesn't look to low I have a short torso. Anyway! Does this mean baby soon? Who knows! From what I read there is not rhyme or reason to this labor thing. It happens when it is suppose to, and I learn from my 1st pregnancy to not get impatient and just wait it out. I am sure it will be more comfortable to wait it out in the comfort of my own home than it was to spend 24 hours at a hospital being poked and prodded, before my body was ready to deliver a baby. The doctor also said she doesn't think this baby is very big, so my fear of delivering an 8 to 9 pound baby has subsided for now. Dr. Robbins also said she didn't think I would be ready to deliver this week, so I should be at the baby shower my church is having for me. Well, there you have it! I will keep you posted.
Well I had my 36 week checkup yesterday. I am pretty dissappointed that nothing is happening. I am soft but not dialated, but I still have 3 weeks to go so maybe on my next appointment we'll see some change. I didn't gain any weight, and I am going through my nesting stage. I think that ended Wednesday because I have been more sleepy the last two days. I plan on staying busy to pass the time. I still have to do baby laundry, and change Kiley's dresser to the bigger one. I have plenty to keep me busy. Halloween is getting closer (Brett and I want Cambree to be born on Halloween) so maybe we'll get our wish. I will post an update after my next appointment which is the 16th! Till then!
We had a great time at the SGMA Convention in Paris, TX!!!
I hope all is well. We are doing great. We are counting down to Cambree's arrival. My Doctor appointment went well last week, I will go again next week and then every week from here on till she's born.
Kiley had her 3 year old check up Monday, and she did great. We were a little apprehensive because she didn't do real well with the dentist appointment. She did real good until they did a blood test to check her iron level. She only cried for a little bit and then she got a prize, which made her very happy. We have a busy month planned. I will try to post as much as I can. Until next time!
I have no new pictures to post this time. Brett has been out of town working. They have sent him out so much this year. He said he's going to tell them today that he will not be going out of town anymore until the baby is born. We'll see how that goes over!
I went to the doctor yesterday. I have lost 2 pounds. Dr. Robbins said I'm just playing with water weight, which is normal. I feel really good, tired by the end of the day but who isn't. Baby is head down, and we are measuring at 34 weeks (belly wise). So...does this mean Cambree will be arriving a little earlier? We don't know! I have one more visit this month, and then after that we will be checking to see what's going on! I really can't believe how fast the last 2 tri-mesters have gone. Of course we have nothing ready, we need to paint the baby room, wash and put away baby clothes, set up the bed, changing table, and unload diapers. Maybe we'll get something done this weekend. The rain will keep us in doors I'm sure. That is all for now. For those of you who know my sister Jocelyn she has started a blog for Bailey, the address is www.watchbaileygrow.blogspot.com. Check out her little cutie! See ya next time.
We had great fun at Kiley's waterslide birthday party. Her tea party was cancelled due to the death of Molly Godwin, the Turner's daughter. Kiley will have her 1st visit to the dentist Tuesday, and we will be taking her to have her 3 year old pictures made soon!
As of my last doctor's visit I lost 1 pound, blood pressure was good, no swelling, and I feel good. My lung are getting more squished and this makes it very hard to breath. I go back to the doctor on Thursday. I will go to the doctor every two weeks until I am 36 weeks, then I'll go every week. Time is growing short and there is still so much to do! Until next time!
Here are pictures of Tonya's twins Grace on the right, Laynee on the left, and a picture of Jocelyn's little Bailey. They are all healthy and beautiful. For those of you who know the Turner's please be in prayer for them. Molly passed away this morning. We will be leaving to go to the funeral. Take care!
Well Tonya had her twins and they are both home as of today. Jocelyn had her baby Tuesday and Bailey is just beautiful I will post a picture when they send me one I can use. I have one on my cell phone, with promises of more. Kiley's birthday was fun. We had a cupcake and she opened her presents from us. She has her party Saturday. I go to the dr. tomorrow if anything has changed I will post again. I'm getting bigger everyday!
Here is my 29th almost 30th week photo. Kiley did a good job didn't she? She is getting a camera for her birthday. She asked for a camera with batteries (i.e. a real one). I think she has some real talent!
Doctor Update: My blood work came back and I am anemic (low in iron) the medication they have me taking has made me kinda sick, but I'm not near as tired as I was before taking it. So, I guess something has to give. We are all doing fine except for that little minor thing. My next visit is a week from tomorrow I will post if anything changes.
Other baby news! Tonya is in the Hospital now hopefully her little girls will be born soon! My lil' sister Joggie will be induced Tuesday if she doesn't go into labor this weekend. That is the same day I was induced with Kiley but I didn't have her until the next day. That's it for now!
I have officially entered my Third Tri-mester, YEAH! I had to get a shot and blood taken today. I gained 7 pounds so that makes a total of 16 for the whole pregnancy thus far. The babies heartbeat was at 134. Other than that my visit was uneventful. Not much to update on I will be posting a 29 week photo soon. Keep checking and leave me a comment or two!
Well we are planning Kiley's 3rd Birthday party. She will have 2! I planned a Princess Tea Party, and her daddy planned a water slide birthday party. The Tea Party will be girls only, and the water slide will be all her cousins and friends from church. I added a link to my page, it is a small registry at Walmart. I don't need a lot of things, because we saved EVERYTHING from Kiley, but there are few new things I would like to have.
We will be starting on painting Cambree's room soon, her room will be done in pinks and browns. The recieving blankets on the registry is the design of all the nursery bedding. I still have ALOT of things to prepare before baby time but it's been so hot I haven't really felt like doing any of it. This weekend we are taking all the kids from church to a water park, but after that my weekends are FREE, so I'll be taking care of alot of it then. Well, that's it for now. I won't have baby updates until next week. I go to the Doctor on Thursday. I will get a shot, and have my blood drawn after I drink the really sugary syrup to test my blood sugar. Sounds like fun, huh? Until then!
